St Bridget's Cross
The Bridget's cross, which this Jewellery is based, is made from rushes on every St Bridget’s Eve, before 1st February – Lá Fhéile Bhríde – and first day of Spring. It still features in many Irish rural homes, as protection from fire and evil. The largest collection of orignal Crosses is on display in the Museum of Country Life, Co Mayo.
